At some point, the podcast industry will have to reconcile with podcast fatigue. But right now, as a listener, there seems to be an infinite bench of shows to choose from, no matter how niche and obscure.
I think this is largely because the format is still remarkably open. While NPR and other highly produced shows have set a standard for quality, anyone can still start a podcast in about an hour for free if they really want.
Of course, if you haven’t already be sure to subscribe to our own podcast, The On-Premise IT Roundtable.
