Windows 10 Mobile Support Ends in December

Ahhh Windows 10 Mobile, we hardly knew you. Microsoft always seemed resigned to the doomed strategy of playing for third on mobile, ever since the release of Windows Phone 7. Their mobile ambitions trudged along over the years, even while trying innovative things. The UI still seems bold. And I still think a Continuum-style docked mode will emerge in the next few years, but Microsoft was trying to push it before the silicon was ready.

So for the few Windows 10 Mobile diehards, 2019 will be your last year of support, after patch Tuesday in December, Microsoft is cutting you off. Microsoft has never really figured out mobile, and now it’s relying on the dominance of Android and iOS to sell their services better than they can on their own platform.
