0:54 – Kioxa Files for IPO
It’s IPO time for Kioxia! The storage giant has filed paperwork with the Tokyo Stock Exchange to go public in October. Kioxia is valued at 1 trillion yen, or approximately $10.3 billion. Kioxia has been planning to go public for several years but thanks to COVID and a momentary slowdown in the NAND flash market it has taken some time to recover. The primary investor in Kioxia is Bain Capital, with Toshiba having the remaining 40% stake.
