The original Tech Field Day event takes center stage next week, as we learn about the latest trends in datacenter, hybrid cloud, networking, and security. Tune in starting at 8 AM Pacific Wednesday through Friday, April 21-23, for presentations from Field Day veterans and newcomers alike!
Having hosted Tech Field Day for over a decade, we have seen many technology trends rise to be mainstream datacenter components. Each time we host a Tech Field Day event, we always look for “what’s next” as well as “what’s happening now” in the enterprise datacenter. A few years back, that grew to include server virtualization and so-called hybrid cloud environments, and now we are watching as disaggregation and distributed computing spreads through the enterprise.
Join us live next week for three days of Tech Field Day presentations, featuring a wide variety of enterprise IT companies! Presentations start at 8 Pacific all three days, with a second presentation at 11 and a third Wednesday at 13:30.
We’ll start off Wednesday at 8 with Networking Field Day veteran Riverbed, bringing their message to our generalist Tech Field Day delegate panel. Next up is newcomer Vcinity at 11, enabling access to date from anywhere in the world. We’ll finish with a presentation from Micron at 13:30, presenting for the first time.
Thursday at 8 AM is Hazelcast, in the first of two presentations this quarter at Field Day events. Then at 11 it’s Xilinx, a leader in FPGA technology joining the Field Day roster for the first time. It’s remarkable that we have so many first-time presenting companies at a single event, but we’ve spent hours helping all of them plan their presentation and prepare for the delegate questions!
On Friday we begin at 8 again with BlueCat, the leader in enterprise DNS technology. We’ll wrap up at 11 with Pure Storage, who has been returning to the Tech Field Day stage for a decade as they grew from a startup to a leader in enterprise storage.
These companies will present remotely due to the pandemic, and we have assembled an international panel of delegates to ask questions and engage the entire time. This includes newcomers Wolfgang Stief and David Klee as well as more familiar faces from the Tech Field Day, Cloud Field Day, and Networking Field Day community. We’re also happy to have John Obeto returning to the delegate panel for the first time in five years, since he was part of the original Tech Field Day event way back in 2009!
The entire schedule is listed on the Tech Field Day website, and we will be broadcasting live most of the day. All sessions are recorded and posted to the Tech Field Day YouTube channel as well. Join us on Twitter using hashtag #TFD23 and we’ll relay your questions and comments into the room. Thanks for being part of the Gestalt IT and Tech Field Day community!
