Although Tech Field Day Seattle hasn’t officially been announced yet, we have started naming names. Six delegates have been confirmed and announced so far, all of them new to the event.
The Internet is responsible for the demise of many “meatspace” industries, from magazine publishing to CD sales, but there are some things it’ll never do: No matter how much time you spend interacting online, meeting in person is something else entirely. I’m not trying to advocate a return to the old world of tech conferences and user groups. Rather, I envision a new breed of connected events that reinforce online communities with real face-to-face communication.

As usual, the Tech Field Day event received massive amounts of attention, generating thousands of tweets and dozens of blog posts and videos from delegates and bystanders alike. We will attempt to collect those links here for reference and review.

Tech Field Day Boston is just two weeks away. The alumni delegates have put together two documents about what to expect, and we are preparing Twitter, Facebook, Slinkset, and Vimeo pages for the event!
Gestalt IT is pleased to announce the first date of 2010 in our ongoing series of Tech Field Day events. Our next event will convene in Boston, MA on April 8 and 9, engaging some of the most innovative and interesting IT infrastructure companies in Massachusetts.
