A lot of companies simply abuse and take advantage of IT employees. Need more accounting, hire more, Need more HR, hire more – need more IT staff, do more with less, you are a cost center. Business needs to learn that IT – IS a part of and a cost of doing business, like the water, the facilities, the other services needed that are also costs (all back office). Expecting IT employees to be on the hook 24×7, and CONSTANTLY have more and more heaped on their plates with fewer people and less money is ridiculous.
