Tech Field Day returns to the cloud on June 23-25, 2021 with Cloud Field Day 11! We will have three days of presentations from prominent companies making enterprise cloud computing possible and will welcome a panel of independent technical delegates to engage and ask questions. Tune in live on the Tech Field Day website or watch the recordings on our Tech Field Day YouTube channel!
When we began the Cloud Field Day event series, enterprise IT was just beginning to turn to cloud services. But today’s businesses increasingly rely on public cloud providers and hyperscale applications. That’s what Cloud Field Day is all about, and what our delegate panel will be focused on during the presentations.
We’ll start things out with in-memory computing leader Hazelcast at 8 AM on Wednesday. They recently presented at Tech Field Day in April and also made a special appearance at AI Field Day as a guest of MemVerge. Next, we will hear from Morpheus Data at 10 AM. We’ve been following their cloud operations technology since 2018, and they have returned to Cloud Field Day each year since then. We will finish up the day with object storage leader MinIO at 12:30. This is their third Field Day presentation but the first time they will be focusing on the cloud rather than the storage audience.
Thursday starts with NGINX at 8 AM. They are a familiar name to many cloud developers, and their enterprise product line has become a critical component of modern scalable web applications. At 11 we will hear from Zerto, which launched at Tech Field Day back in 2011 and has been working with us to share their development ever since. You might be surprised by all they can do with public cloud and container applications! Finally, we have Pliops at 1:30. This exciting new company first presented in January, and are pioneers in storage processors for the data-centric era.
On Friday we will start with Kasten by Veeam at 8 AM. This cloud-first team brings a focus on Kubernetes to the trusted data protection company. Then, we will finish up with Intel presenting at 11. This promises to be a highlight of the event, as they discuss the positioning of their Optane storage technology and CPU technology in the modern cloud.
This event is broadcasting live on the Tech Field Day website starting at 8 AM Pacific Time on Wednesday, June 23, and continuing through Thursday and Friday. We will have more presentations throughout the day, going until 2:30 Wednesday and Thursday and 12:30 on Friday. They are also recorded and shared on our Tech Field Day YouTube channel. Finally, we welcome participation on Twitter using the hashtag #CFD11.
You can learn more about the event and our panel of independent technical influencers by visiting the Cloud Field Day 11 event page on the Tech Field Day website. Each of our delegates has their own blog, podcast, or social media platform where they share their thoughts on enterprise technology from servers to storage to networking and beyond.
